Tuition for English-taught medicine sits far below any European or American equivalent and living costs are low, which is the entire proposition; there are no meaningful need-based scholarships, so a family pays, but the total for a whole degree can come to less than one year elsewhere. Budget for the licensing examinations afterwards — they are the real second cost and students routinely forget them.

Certificate-based and rule-driven, not holistic: your school qualification is checked against a recognition table, and admission follows grades and, for popular subjects, a numerus clausus. Essays and activities carry almost no weight.
