Who can enter
Secondary-school students worldwide — submission fee applies
What it costs
Submitting an essay is not free: $70 with the electronic journal, $110 with the print edition in the US, and $150 with print internationally — take the electronic tier. Reading the journal costs nothing, and publication itself carries no extra charge.
When it closes
We could not confirm this year's date against the organiser's own page, so we are not showing a countdown for it. Last published: Quarterly submission deadlines through the year.
