CS50's Introduction to Programming with Python (Harvard)
A gentler on-ramp than CS50 itself — pure Python from zero, taught to Harvard's standard.
- Computer Science
- Who can enter
- Anyone worldwide — no experience needed; free to audit
- What it costs
- Free to take, and CS50 issues its own free certificate from cs50.harvard.edu. The paid one is the OPTIONAL edX verified certificate, and it is not cheap — roughly $200-300 depending on the course (Harvard lists $219 for CS50 Python). You never need it: the course, the problem sets and the free CS50 certificate cost nothing.
- When it closes
- We could not confirm this year's date against the organiser's own page, so we are not showing a countdown for it. Last published: Self-paced online — enrol and start any time (free to audit).
Sending this to someone sends the four facts above, not just a name — they will see who can enter and what it costs before they decide.
