Republican Olympiad for rural schools (олимпиада для сельских школ)

Thirteen subjects, four rounds, about 125,000 entrants at the school stage last year. You sign yourself up for this one, rather than waiting for a teacher to put your name forward.

Who can enter: Grades 9–12 at a rural school in Kazakhstan, having studied at one for the last two years. Specialised schools in rural areas are excluded
What it costs: The organiser names no fee and you register from a school computer, but no page says entry is free in as many words, so we have not marked it as such. Last year's winners took a full SDU grant and IELTS fees paid by the British Council.
