Republican Competition of Scientific Projects (конкурс научных проектов)

You build a research project and defend it, judged against the standards Regeneron ISEF uses. This is the domestic road to ISEF, and about 28,600 students started it at the school stage last year.

Who can enter: Grades 8–12, put forward by your school's science society or a supervising teacher. One or two authors per project
What it costs: Nothing on the organiser's page or in the rules names a fee. Materials for the project itself are on you, and that is the real cost to plan for.
When it closes: We could not confirm this year's date against the organiser's own page, so we are not showing a countdown for it. Last published: Entries filed in September, national round in February; 2026-27 dates not announced.
