This suits you if…

You accept that a hunch about why someone behaved a certain way needs testing before it counts as knowledge. You can write up a study methodically even when the result disappoints you. You can carry other people's difficulties through a working day without taking them home unprocessed.

Look elsewhere if…

You want to be doing licensed clinical work soon. Or you want to skip the statistics and go straight to helping people. In most countries a bachelor's alone doesn't license you, research methods sit at the centre of the training throughout, and the postgraduate clinical places are genuinely few relative to demand.

What the first year is really made of

Why did that person do that? Every applicant arrives already able to ask it. The first year's answer is statistics, not case studies, with a full research-methods course sitting alongside developmental, social and cognitive psychology from week one. Intuition about behaviour is treated as unreliable evidence, to be tested rather than trusted. That realisation thins the class out faster than any single hard topic does.

The catch

The licensed, patient-facing side of the field is long and competitive to reach. In most countries an undergraduate degree alone doesn't let you practise as a psychologist. The postgraduate clinical places are few, and a strong first degree is only the entry ticket to that competition rather than the qualification itself.
